COLOMBO (News 1st); Opposition MP Harin Fernando took the opportunity in Parliament on Tuesday (9) to raise serious concerns surrounding the 2019 April 21st Attacks.
“On the 4th of April 2019, two lorries were seized at the Gelanigama Entrance. But, who in Sri Lanka Police told to release these two lorries and what were they transporting?”, said the MP in a new expose’ to Parliament.
When the 2019 Attacks took place, the Police Officer in question was dining at the Maalu Maalu Hotel in Pasikudah and the government must tell the house, who paid for that dinner, the MP said.
He said the information that he is revealing to parliament are those that were detailed as evidence to the Presidential Commission but did not make it to the PCoI report.
“The wife of Zaharan, named Sadiya, had said an Intelligence Officer met with Zaharan at his residence,” he said adding that if he is lying Public Security Ministry Dr. Sarath Weerasekera must openly reject it.
MP Manusha Nanayakkara speaking on the same line said when the investigations were underway over the murder of two police officers, the Intelligence Service immediately diverted it to the LTTE, noting that the murders were committed by an Ex-LTTE combatant.
“The CID has now uncovered that the serial numbers of the T-56 weapons detected at the Wanathawilluwa Weapons dump, were erased,” he said adding that the CID has uncovered more details.
“The Government must tell us if Sarah is alive, dead, or hiding in India,” he said adding that the two lorries mentioned by MP Fernando earlier, contained weapons and explosives, and a Police Officer took bribes to release the two lorries.
