Sara Ali Khan has been making waves ever since she entered the Bollywood industry last year. She made a mark with her stellar performances in Kedarnath and Simmba and won over the hearts of all her audiences. With her charming personality and pretty looks, the starlet has our heart. Sara Ali Khan stepped into the industry at a time when all the big star kids had already entered Bollywood and nepotism was at its peak. There was most certainly something about Sara that set her apart from the rest of the star kids and her style and sartorial choices also got attention in the press.
While Sara Ali Khan still has heaps of talent to display, she is already a hot favourite amongst the millenials. Despite this however, the Simmba actress has constantly been pitted against the likes of Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday who have also bagged equally big projects in the industry. She was recently interviewed by an Indian publication, in which she was asked about the cut-throat competition she faces and whether it bothers her. She told the magazine that, “Comparison and competition is part and parcel of our profession. I don’t get bothered; there’s space for everybody here, and both of us are confident and secure in our respective places. We don’t hold anything against each other or the media; we know that it’s part of their job to do what they do. We are here to be actors; nothing works more than individualism.”
During the interview, she was also asked whether she considers Janhvi Kapoor or Ananya Pnday as rivals, to which Sara added, “I disagree. Whether it’s me and Janhvi (Kapoor) or me and Ananya (Panday), we do have more in common with each other than we do with other people. We are young debutantes trying to make it big in a world we have only dreamed about. I am happy, confident, and content with the place I have, and I am sure they are too. I don’t think we need to treat each other as rivals, but as friends that we already are. Competition in any field keeps you on your toes; it’s a healthy vibe where we can all coexist.”
In the interview, Sara Ali Khan also opened up about her relationship with her father’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan. The young starlet has often referred to Kareena Kapoor as her favourite actress on many occasions; the Kedarnath actress revealed that Kareena Kapoor is not only her friend, but in fact, more than that. She said that the Jab We Met actress is not only her friend but more than that as she is his father’s wife. Sara Ali Khan went on to add that she respects Kareena and that she makes her father really happy.
Sara Ali Khan went on to reveal the conversations she has with Kareena Kapoor and what they entail. She said that since they both belong to the industry and the same profession, they belong to a similar world and that’s what their conversations include as well.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sara Ali Khan is gearing up to be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s next film, which is tentatively being called Love Aaj Kal 2, and is said to be a sequel to Love Aaj Kal. Sara Ali Khan will be seen romancing Kartik Aaryan in the film and fans can barely wait to see their onscreen chemistry as they are already rumoured to be dating in real life. Earlier reports have also suggested that Saif Ali Khan will be playing father to Kartik Aaryan in the film. As shooting for the film wrapped up, both Sara and Kartik took to Instagram and shared heartfelt posts for each other and their upcoming film.
It all started as a joke when Sara Ali Khan said she had a crush on Kartik on one episode of Koffee with Karan. Ranveer Singh decided to play cupid and introduced the two and the rest remains history. While the two are rumoured to be dating, they share a close bond and a very special relationship. Sara Ali Khan is currently shooting for David Dhawan’s Coolie No 1 opposite Varun Dhawan while Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for his 2020 releases, Love Aaj Kal and Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
