COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Passara – Ella Road was temporarily closed due to gale winds experienced in the area.
The Assistant Director of the Disaster Management Center for the Badulla District Ranjith Alahakoon told News 1st that the section of road between Kotuwe-Thenna and Club Junction was closed after trees uprooted on to the road due to gale winds.
In addition, gale winds were also experienced in Lunugala, and Passara, he added.
