Mocha is expected to further intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm on Thursday night, cross the Bay of Bengal from south to north, and make landfall on the Bangladesh-Myanmar coastline by Friday night or Saturday morning.
It is the first cyclone in the North Indian Ocean region in 2023.
