Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg is backing Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz to find his mojo during the side’s tour of England this summer.

He
took to social media website Twitter to express his excitement on the left-arm
fast-bowler’s return to Test cricket.

“Wahab Riaz is back in the fray,” Hogg tweeted. “With the duke ball in England, I think he can recapture his best with a new lease on life.”

The spinner believes that the left-arm pace combination of Wahab and Shaheen Shah Afridi can be the deciding factor in the series.

Wahab Riaz bagged five wickets on his Test debut in 2010 against England at the Oval. He averages 32.64 in the country with 17 wickets from five games between 2010-2016.

His
last Test appearance was back in 2018 against Australia in the United Arab
Emirates (UAE).

The left-arm pacer has been included in Pakistan’s 29-man squad for the England tour. He will be making his return to Test cricket since he had announced an indefinite break from the longest format of the game last year.
