Priyadarshan was known as the King of comedies in the early 2000s and with Akshay Kumar in lead, the two have given several blockbusters together, chief among them being Hera Pheri. Today Akshay Kumar gets time to catch up with his favourite director and he made sure he shares the news with us.

Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram this morning where we see him posing with Priyadarshan. The picture came with a heartwarming caption, “When a guy with as brilliant a sense of humour as @priyadarshan.official comes calling, a hard-work day becomes a laugh-hard day!  #HappinessBTS.” Now that’s such a lovely message. 

Looking at the click where Akshay Kumar is sporting a moustache, we are sure that the actor is on the set of Aanand L Rai’s next Rakshabandhan. Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan together have given us hits like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala and the superhit Bhool Bhulaiyaa.  Priyadarshan is returning to direction in Hindi films after a long time with Hungama 2.

The superstar who’s known to wrap up films back-to-back has already started shooting for his next and joining him in this film is his Toilet Ek Prem Katha actress Bhumi Pednekar. This is Aanand L Rai’s second film with Akshay Kumar, he has already directed him for a special role in his another flick – Atrangi Re, which is in the post-production stage due currently.
