Following the announcement of the first Omicron death in the UK, the government has made it an agenda to get as many people vaccinated as possible. Additionally, officials have urged people to get their booster shots immediately.
That said, in order to speed up the process of vaccine administering, the government has officially waived off the 15 minute wait period post vaccination.
In a press release, government officials said, “The 15-minute observation period after vaccination will remain in place for the small number of people who may have previously suffered anaphylaxis or other allergic reactions to a food, insect sting and most medicines or vaccines.”
This suggests that the 15-minute observation period after vaccination will only apply to people who are at risk of developing severe reactions.
