COLOMBO (News 1st): The Prisons Spokesperson Chandana Ekanayake says that visitors will no longer be allowed within Prisons until further notice.
The decision has been reached due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the country, the Spokesperson added.
Moreover, he mentioned that attorneys will also not be allowed to visit inmates, however they will be able to obtain the necessary documentation in accordance with the relevant health guidelines.
