As of now, getting yourself vaccinated is the only way to protect yourself, your family and the most vulnerable in society. However, this does not mean that you cannot contract the virus. You can still get infected with COVID-19 even after getting your COVID shot. However, the severity of the infection may be lower and more manageable.
That said, according to the data collected in the Zoe Covid Symptom Study, there has been a common symptom identified in individuals who have been vaccinated but have still contracted the virus and tested positive.
Professor Tim Spector, lead researcher of the study, has said, “We’ve found that sneezing, a lot, is a more common sign of infection in those who’ve been vaccinated.”
