Sky News host Rowan Dean says Malcolm Turnbull is “rapidly” on track “to be the “very worst Australian prime minister ever”.

It comes as former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull said he would have won the May federal election if he was leader of the Liberal Party at the time.

“There’s not many people who don’t think that,” he told Christopher Pyne on Pyne Time.

“Malcolm Turnbull is rapidly overtaking Kevin Rudd and Billy McMahon as the very worst Australian prime minister ever, he’s probably now overtaken them easily,” Mr Dean told Sky News host Paul Murray.
