Technical glitch forces Biman’s Kathmandu flight to land in Patna

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying 77 people from Dhaka to Kathmandu today made an unscheduled landing at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna, the capital city of India’s Bihar state, due to a technical problem.

All the passengers on board the Boeing aircraft are safe, ANI quoted the Directorate General of Civil Aviation as saying in a statement, reports our New Delhi correspondent.

“Biman Bangladesh’s Boeing flight 371 from Dhaka to Kathmandu has been diverted to Patna, Bihar, due to a technical problem. It landed at Patna safely at 12:00 IST. Seventy-seven people are on board. All passengers are safe,” according to the statement.
