St. Peter’s College to celebrate 100 years in 2022; Centenary Logo unveiled

COLOMBO (News 1st); St. Peter’s College, Colombo, one of the largest Catholic schools in the country will celebrate 100 years on January 18, 2022. It will mark an important milestone in the College calendar, as the boys in blue, white and gold cherish and celebrate the completion of the century of their alma mater.

On Wednesday (01) St. Peter’s College unveiled their Centenary logo with much pomp and paegentry.

The event was attended by retired Air Vice Marshall Andrew Wijesuriya and several other dignitaries including Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo, the Rector of St. Peter’s College.

Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo, the Rector of St. Peter’s College said “As educationists our vision is to see our students do well as integrated citizens who would epitomize the College motto in their lives ‘virtue and truth’. (Virtus et Veritas),”

Today the College has proven itself to become one of the largest Catholic schools in the country with almost 4,500 students on roll while seven priests, 215 teachers and 100 clerical and support staff serve the College.
