COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Health has decided to import 100 tons of oxygen per week from India.

Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi stated this at a discussion held with media chiefs and the health sector authorities on Saturday morning (14).

It has also decided to issue a gazette notification on Monday (16) to declare the health guidelines as a law, taking into account the surge in COVID cases.

The Minister of Health has requested the media chiefs to keep the public informed about the forthcoming vaccination program and the health practices to be followed.
