He’s the reigning number one actor of Bollywood after his super successful outing Kabir Singh and the actor is ensuring he makes news even while he’s not slaying on the silver screen. And, one thing that Shahid Kapoor is always talked about for is his quirky style sense. Whether it’s his cropped pants, asymmetrical kurtas, his cool shades or shoes, the actor always makes a chic statement. And, right now what’s making the maximum amount of news are his ugly dad sneakers.

The season’s biggest trend, dad shoes or ugly dad sneakers are characterised by their unusually big soles and thick upper crust. While most of the Bollywood actors have embraced the trend already, Shahid has too joined in with great elan and making a statement with them every now and then.

Spotted at the airport, Shahid sported the shoes with a long hoodie, white track pants, black backpack and blue sunnies.

The shoes worn by Shahid are actually Balaenciaga’s much talked-about track sneakers in yellow, white and grey. The shoes feature aggressive chunky sole units, an eye-catching yellow with a subtle white and dark grey palette. Appearing on the mesh uppers are multiple layers of windowed faux leather cages which are attached to the double lacing systems to secure lockdown. Details such as the heel “Track” emblems, the frontfoot “Balenciaga” branding, and European size markings serve to top off the design of these dad shoes.

And now, coming to the price of the shoes – the bulky shoes cost INR 61851.

Well, they may not be the most good looking pair of shoes, but they are certainly notice-worthy aren’t they?
