Salman Khan donates Rs. 3000 to each artist of AISAA

The coronavirus has affected the country leaving several with no source of income. At the time of crisis, Bollywood stars have stood up and decided to give back to the society. One such star who’s been at the helm of this movement is Salman Khan as he’s been doing all that he can to help those who are affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Now, he has donated money for specially-abled workers in the film industry.

According to a report, Salman is donating ₹3000 each for the members of the All India Special Artists Association. This is apparently the first instalment for the artists from the superstar. Salman Khan is reported to continue helping the AISAA members until the lockdown situation calms down.

In an interview with a daily, a vertically-challenged artiste Pravin Rana said, “Nobody cares much for us, but Salman bhai stood by us during these trying times. We were surprised when we learnt that Rs 3,000 had been deposited into our accounts on Tuesday. No other actor has come forward to help us.” He recalls an earlier interaction with the actor and said that while they were shooting for Bharat, he had told them to ask for help whenever they have an emergency need.

Another member of the AISAA, Shameem Ahmed said that because they don’t get to work every day, their income varies, sometimes it is difficult to meet daily needs. In an interview with a daily Ahmedm revealed that Salman Khan has always reached out to them when they were in need of help.

Earlier, Salman had extended financial support for 25,000 daily wage workers of the film industry amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
