England have defeated Pakistan in a nail-biting encounter by three wickets in the third T20I to clinch the series with the score of 2-1.
After opting to bat first, the Men-in-Green
managed to post a competitive total of 154 for the loss of six wickets in their
allotted 20 overs on a difficult surface in Manchester on Friday.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan played
a brilliant knock of 76 not out off just 57 balls with the help of five fours and
three sixes.
For England, leg-spinner Adil Rashid was
the pick of the bowlers as he claimed four wickets and gave away 35 runs in his
four overs.
In reply, the home team managed to chase
down the target in the final over at the expense of seven wickets.
Opener Jason Roy was the star performer for the winning time as he scored 64 off 36 balls with the help of 12 fours and one six.
For Pakistan, off-spinner Mohammad Hafeez was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed three wickets.
