COLOMBO (News 1st); Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on Thursday (10) paid reverence to the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura.

The Prime Minister first called on Venerable (Dr) Pallegama Siriniwasa Thero, Custodian and Chief Priest of Maha Bodhi, and Atamasthana Adhipathi of Anuradhapura.

Thereafter, Prime Minister Rajapaksa paid homage to the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi.

The Premier also called on Chief Incumbent of the Ruwanweli Maha Chaithyaramaya Venerable Pallegama Hemarathana Thero as well.
