Over 11kg gold recovered in Sylhet airport, 4 held

Four people were detained with 11 kg and 220 gram gold by Customs officials today at Sylhet’s Osmani International Airport.

Mohammad Al Amin, deputy commissioner of Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate has confirmed the development.

The detainees are: Sheikh Mohammad, Zahid, Maqbool Ali, and Sultan Mahmud.

After a Bangladesh Biman flight (BG-248) from Dubai landed at Sylhet airport at 9am today, the gold was recovered from the luggage of four passengers, he added.
