The yaba and crystal meth were smuggled into the country through border with Myanmar. Those were later brought to Dhaka, AKM Hafiz Akhter, additional commissioner (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told a press briefing at DMP Media Centre today.
Crystal meth is a powerful drug that affects the central nervous system. It comes in the form of clear crystals or shiny blue-white rocks.
The highly addictive drug, also called “ice”, is expensive and its users are usually affluent people from upscale Dhaka areas, detectives have said.
