COLOMBO (News 1st):- SL Navy apprehended a drug trafficker during a patrol carried out in the Back Bay sea area.

This drug trafficker who was disguised as a fisherman was onboard a craft in Back Bay area and a Naval craft on patrol had searched this suspicious person and questioned him. After the inquiry, this person was identified as a drug trafficker in the Trincomalee area and was apprehended by the Navy.

The suspect is a resident of Trincomalee, aged 21. He was handed over to the Headquarters Police in Trincomalee for further investigation.
