Moratuwa Uni to submit report on Gas Cylinders

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan authorities have decided to call for a report from the University of Moratuwa with recommendations to address the incidents of exploding gas cylinders.

State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna told News 1st that the report will be obtained considering the samples directed to the Sri Lanka Standards Institute and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.

On Sunday (28), Sri Lankan authorities obtained 20 individual samples from across the island to investigate the cause for exploding gas cylinders, while three incidents were also reported the same day from Kalmunai, Kegalle, and Arachchikattuwa.
