A man has been charged over a fatal crash which killed an elderly couple in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services were called to Doonside on Saturday night after two cars collided at an intersection.

The 81-year-old female passenger died at the scene while the 83-year-old male driver was taken to Westmead Hospital for critical injuries but later died.

A 22-year-old Indian national will face court on Monday charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death.
