COLOMBO (News 1st) – Court has issued an order preventing all unauthorized personnel from entering Galle Face Green and its surrounding areas from Friday (3) evening until the conclusion of the 75th Independence Day celebrations.
The order was made by Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage after considering a request made by the Fort Police.
Sri Lanka Police had noted that many local and international dignitaries are expected to attend the 75th Independence Day celebrations, and the presence of unauthorized persoonel could pose a threat to them, and the celebrations as well.
