While many criticize him for being untruthful to his wife, not many know that despite having married Diana Spencer, Prince Charles never got over his former girlfriend, Camilla Parker Bowles.

In a 1995 ITN documentary, filmmaker Jonathan Dimbleby asks the Prince of Wales whether he had been “faithful and honorable” to his wife, Princess Diana. To which, the Prince initially replies, “Yes, absolutely.” However, after further questioning, the Prince of Wales admits to his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

After distancing himself away from his one true love for so many years, the couple finally married on 9 April, 2005.
