Protesters launched fireworks during a second night of riots in suburban Paris, France, on April 20, as tensions between police and minority residents continued to escalate. Protests were sparked by an April 18 incident in which a motorcyclist was injured in a collision with an open police car door in Villeneuve-la-Garenne in the Hauts-de-Seine department. A journalist on the ground said protesters used fireworks to target officers and vehicles and ten people were arrested across Hauts-de-Seine on April 20, according to local reports This footage, posted to Twitter by a local resident, shows fireworks exploding in the Luth area of Gennevilliers, in Hauts-de-Seine.
