Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police have arrested an alleged woman leader of “Neo JMB” from Dhaka.

The arrestee, Shirina Khatun, 23, is allegedly the second-in-command of the female unit of Neo JMB, SK Imran Hossain, assistant commissioner of CTTC unit told The Daily Star.

A team of counterterrorism officials of Dhaka Metropolitan Police made the arrest after conducting a drive in Gabtoli area around 4pm yesterday.

She admitted her involvement with Neo JMB during primary investigation. Police also recovered a mobile phone from the possession of the arrestee.
