Expatriate Bangladeshis and Filipinos in Bahrain were able to breath a sigh of relief after a lengthy lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic at Bahrain by playing in a friendly football match.

The match took place on Friday at the Salmabad Gulf Air Club in Bahrain with Bangladeshis winning 5-0 thanks to player of the match Babul Ahmed. Nazrul Islam, the Bangladesh ambassador in Bahrain was the chief guest along with Philippines ambassador Alfonso A. Vir.
