Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today revealed in a tweet that cinema halls in Maharashtra will be allowed to reopen. Theatres have not reopened in Maharashtra since the lockdown earlier this year. Even though other states had reopened theatres long back, Maharashtra hadn’t given a go ahead.
But today, the CM announced that from October 22, 2021, theatres in Maharashtra will be allowed to reopen. The tweet further said that talks are still on for the protocols that will be followed once the theatres reopen. Quite a respite for all involved in the movie business, finally this news gets the ball rolling for them.
