A BRADFORD-based police officer has co-ordinated efforts to provide meals for frontline colleagues during their night shifts.

PC Dharmesh Mistry, who is based at Trafalgar House, wanted to make a difference during these difficult times and rallied the support of the Hindu community through the Bradford Hindu Council.

Families have been stepping up to do their bit to ensure those who are working on the frontline can have a tasty home-cooked meal while working the night shift.

All police response teams in the Bradford district have been supported, as well as paramedics. They are now branching out to help colleagues in Leeds.

More than 1,300 curries and wraps have been made by the kind-hearted volunteers. Pictured above is one of the drop-offs.
