Colombo (News1st) – Billionaire businessman Onesh Subasinghe has been found dead in an apartment in Jakarta Indonesia.
This was confirmed to News1st by Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia Admiral Professor Jayanath Colombage. He said that a police investigation is underway in Jakarta Indonesia.
When News1st reached out Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director Public Diplomacy said the ministry was “looking into the matter”.
Onesh Subasinghe was the Managing Director of Opex Holding (Pvt) Ltd, a family business. The company website describes him as a multi faceted businessman who holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, USA.
Opex, which is founded by Onesh’s father Alfred Subasinghe, specialises in manufacturing liquid fertilizers for the local and international market.
