COLOMBO (News 1st); An ancient tomb was discovered on Monday (17) night at the Our Lady of Assumption’s Church premises in Bolawatta, Wennappuwa.

Workers had come across the well preserved tomb while excavating the area for an on-going construction at the premises.

The parish priest Rev. Fr. Neville Sebastien speaking to News 1st said workers had come across a large buried object while digging.

” Fr. Jacome Gonsalves served in this church for a long time, but we cannot be certain as to who this belongs to,” he said.
