The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) today announced the ‘AmCham frontline journalism Award’ for journalists working in national dailies and televisions.
This initiative, in association with Masthead PR, aims to recognise and honour valiant journalists working as the frontliners in the evolving Covid-19 pandemic.
The announcement was made in a virtual meeting organised by the AmCham.
Information Minister Mohammed Hasan Mahmud was the chief guest in programme while JoAnne Wagner, deputy chief of mission at the United States Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh attended as the guest of honour.
The programme was chaired by AmCham President Syed Ershad Ahmed while its Vice President Syed Mohammad Kamal moderated the event.
Reporters and TV camera persons from media houses (National) will be able to submit their pandemic-related generic/business reports, which are focused on two perspectives — the impact of the pandemic in the humanitarian ground and the impact in the business sector, published from March 1 to August 31.
The deadline for submission of the reports is September 6.
The winners will be selected after careful assessment by a highly-reputed selection committee.
