44 COVID deaths confirmed on Friday (21); highest number confirmed in a single day

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Director General of Health Services said 44 COVID-19 deaths were confirmed on Friday (21), raising the total number of COVID-19 fatalities in the country to 1,132.

The deaths were reported from the 02nd of May to the 20th of May, said the Department of Government Information.

The deceased are from Etaweeragollewa, Horampella, Ambalangoda, Kalalgoda, Hindagala, Bulathsinhala, Horana, Galapatha, Kuda Waskaduwa, Pihimbuwa, Anuradhapura, Mannar, Rathgama, Imaduwa, Maggona, Mathugama, Veyangoda, Athurugiriya, Sevanagala, Mallewa, Kirimatiyawa, Ihala Katuneriya, Kandy, Paragastota, Kalutara North, Walallawita, Beruwala, Payagala, Colombo 12, Colombo 02, Polgasowita, Galle, Nakkawatte, Ragama, Pannipitiya, Homagama, Narangoda, Ganepola, Gokarella, Alahitiyawa, Hindagolla, Bandarakoswatte
