Dr. Neyamul Islam, additional commissioner at Benapole Customs House, said Benapole and India’s Petrapole ports remain closed on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

He said customs and ports have been kept open on Eid day to address oxygen needs due to the surge of coronavirus in the country. A special team of customs is working to expedite the unloading of the imported oxygen.

Abdul Jalil, director of Benapole land port, said field-level officials are cautious so that oxygen can be released quickly from the port.

All kinds of cooperation will be provided to the importers for quick release of the imported oxygen, he said.
