COLOMBO (News 1st): The second consignment of Sinopharm vaccines donated to Sri Lanka by China to inoculate the people against the COVID-19 virus, will arrive in the country on Tuesday (May 25).
The consignment of Sinopharm vaccines consists of 500,000 doses and 502,400 vaccine syringes, the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka said in a tweet posted on the 23rd of May.
“500,000 #Sinopharm #vaccine doses, 502,400 syringes have been packed and delivered to Beijing International Airport by 12:00 pm GMT+8 Sunday (23). Paperwork will be done in coming hours,” the tweet by the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka noted.
The Chinese Embassy further confirmed that the vaccine consignment was already delivered to the Beijing International Airport.
